ELSA Negotiation Competition
Would you like to improve your professional English and your negotiation skills?
The ENC is a simulation of a negotiation process between two parties. Two teams of two law students each negotiate an issue. As it is often the case in practice, the participants have little preparation time. The simulations are observed and evaluated by a jury of lawyers and professors. It allows the participants not only to train negotiation skills, but also to get in touch with real professionals.
The academic competition was held for the first time in 2020, as a national round. In 2022, the ENC was also held at the local level for the first time. The three best teams of the preliminary rounds organized by ELSA Fribourg and ELSA Zurich qualified for the national final.
This term four Local Rounds are Organised by Local Groups.
The first Local Round in Zurich, organized by ELSA Zurich on the 03.12.2025.
The second Local Round is organized by ELSA Geneva and ELSA Lausanne on the 12.03.2026.
The third Local Round is organized by ELSA Fribourg and ELSA Neuchatel on the 13.03.2026
The last Local Round in Basel, organized by ELSA Basel on the 18.03.2025.
Our Platinum Partner, Kellerhals Carrard, will hold a training webinar on the 04.03.2025 for all the participants. In this webinar the participants are taught all the techniques and skills that are necessary to succeed in the ENC.
The ENC National Final Round will be organized by ELSA Switzerland together with Kellerhals Carrard in Bern on the 26.03.2026
